Ahnika Being Cute

Some random Ahnika pictures from the past few months...... She's already got the model pose down....

Ahnika also has the "stinky poo-poo" face down.....

And likes to do odd things from time to time.....

For some reason, she loves to be naked as well.... She's probably peeing right now.....

After watching dad water the trees, she's got it down..... Well, her aim might be a bit off....

She's definitely a water baby......

Really, she likes to go down the slide head first, she just needs a little help sometimes....

Mulch To Be Moved....

In case anyone is wondering how much 11 yards of mulch is.....

Kitchen Remodel

As seen through the doorway, the original kitchen color was dark brown, but was repainted to more of a cream color...... (I think the color was described as putty by someone)....

In addition to re-painting, we added a metallic appearing backsplash behind the range and metallic accents to the outlet covers....

We finished things off by adding a window treatment to the bay window.....

Not bad for a $300 change?

With the help of my handy-man father-in-law this weekend, stage 1 of the masterbedroom remodel was completed (old tv sold on Craigslist and new tv mounted to the wall on a tilting wall mount, completed with outlets relocated to behind television)...

Next stage is to repaint (bye bye purple!).....

Ahnika's Playground Status

In early August, with the help of a co-worker and his 2 high-school sons, after 4 long hours the border was put in (200 feet of 4x4 pressure treated posts)......

With the arrival of my father-in-law for a "vacation", we got started on building the swingset. We started at 6 am on a Sunday morning, initially working in the driveway (full sun) but quickly moved to the back patio (shaded in the morning).....

After building the center base structure of the clubhouse, we moved onto the clubhouse siding and roof rafters.....

Before the structure got too heavy, we moved it into position and continued work on the upper level clubhouse.....

After nearly 12 hours of work (in 96 degree heat), we called it a day...... Two more men working for 12 hours and only 2/3rds done....

After another 10 hours of work (roughly), the swingset was finished with the only thing left to do is finish putting down weed fabric and spreading 11 yards of mulch (currently sitting on the driveway)......
