Ahnika's 1st Real Laughs - Captured on Video!

Tonight, while we were giving Ahnika her nightly bath, Jaci was playing with the washcloth (that Ahnika loves to put in her mouth) and was getting the greatest laughs from Ahnika. I quickly ran and got the video camera and was able to capture a good portion of it.

Now, I do have to warn you, the video below is a not an endorsement of child pornography, I simply do not know how to make smiley faces appear in videos or how to blur out regions of the body, so don't look at those places!

1st Letter to Mom.....

I have an un-spoken connection to Ahnika, this is what she was mentally writting in a letter to mom, at the time of these pictures.....

"Dear Mom,
9 times out of 10, you dress me in really, really cute clothes. A little bit too often they are pink, well maybe more than a little bit, but nonetheless, really cute clothes. But that 1 out of 10 times, you dress me in really odd clothes, like you did today. In the future, please don't put me in a dress that looks like a clown outfit.

My Random Thoughts on Pictures....

Call me crazy, lots of people do, but sometimes when we put Ahnika in her "big girl chair", she almost looks as if she thinks she's behind the wheel of a car, using her rings as the steering wheel and racing down the street, coming up on a sharp......

Ready to Go to the Ballgame!

As you can see, Ahnika enjoys our over-the-shoulder, hands-free, baby holder thing-a-ma-bobber. So much so, that she was now ready to be taken by me to either a baseball game or an arena football game...

... and not just because she fits in the baby carrier, but because Jaci marked her so I can't mistake another baby for her......

Down with Boring Food!

After a few weeks of just plain old rice-cereal, Ahnika got to taste real food for the first time the other night (well maybe not real food, but certainly better than rice-cereal). Ahnika's very first real good was carrots!

Practice Makes Perfect

... a few minutes after the previous video, Ahnika was rolling over like a pro in no time at all.....

"Houston, We've Got a Problem".....

.... but its a very good problem to have (at least we think so)... Ahnika rolled over for the 1st time the other day, below is video of her 3rd rollover....

Only a matter of time before she's mobile, then walking, then talking, then dating...........
